Probably, my art has been driven with my identity wanting back to the pop involving the American modernism as an Asian parson. My heroes have been Jackson Pollock and Willem De Kooning rather than giants in Japanese Painting such as Yokoyama, Taikan and Kaburagi, Kiyokata since I worked as an attendant stuff in an big exhibition of N.Y MOMA in Mori Art Museum in Tokyo in 2003 as a student in an art university in Tokyo. My major was Japanese Painting then. In the experiense I realised I naturaly prefer the US modern Artists with my sense gained with Japanese clture after decades from the World War II. My art heads the American modernism as the country of my soul, for the spreading American culture in Japan after the occupation. I believe my art interprets some hiding voice of the many same age people in Japan.
Mainly in my solo shows, I have showed my oil paintings and my paintings of mixed media with Japanese Painting mediums with cartoonish figures that I have learned as a normal fan of Japanese comics which is popular in Japan. Probably, I want to be pop.
